PaRappa the Rapper is a 2001 Japanese anime series aimed towards children in Japan that consists of 30 episodes. It features the rapping dog PaRappa and his friends in different adventures. Unlike the game, there's very little rap incorporated into the series' soundtrack.

It premiered on February 17, 2008, a week following the finale of Juken Sentai Gekiranger, and ended on February 8, 2009. It aired as part of TV Asahi's 2008 Super Hero Time block alongside Kamen Rider Kiva. Its footage was used for the American series Power Rangers RPM and was dubbed into Korean for Power Rangers Engine Force. The catchphrase for the series is "Rushing by at full-throttle mach speed, our slogan is 'go on!'".

The story focuses on Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist group aiming to destroy the city of New Delhi on September 11 as well as assassinating the Indian Prime Minister who was played by Kay Kay Menon. A RAW group led by Field Officer Varun Awasthi has to protect the Prime Minister and more importantly, the city.

On April 1, 2013, Shun Shioya, Nao Nagasawa, Kouhei Yamamoto, and Yujiro Shirakawa, who played Hurricane Red, Hurricane Blue, Hurricane Yellow, and Kabuto Raijer, respectively, announced that a 10th anniversary called Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: 10 Years After would be produced. This is the first time a movie has been made commemorating the anniversary of a single Sentai series. The movie will be a direct to DVD and Blu-ray release.
