New series and seasons on Netflix May 2021

A new month is approaching, of course, means a new batch of series and episodes on Netflix. We list everything that is new on Netflix for you! We already start by mentioning the superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy and new episodes of Lucifer. We present the full list of titles for the upcoming month below, but first, let’s scan for highlights.

Maybe you’re starting to get excited by the prospect of seeing big blockbusters in the theaters this summer, but in the meantime, quite a few heavy hitters are coming to Netflix. Both Zack Snyder’s heist movie set during a zombie apocalypse, Army of the Dead, and the long-awaited Amy Adams-starring adaptation of the popular thriller novel, Woman in the Window, arrive this May. And that’s only part of the excitement of next month—new episodes of Lucifer and the David Fincher produced animated anthology Love, Death + Robots also hit the streamer, as does the new superhero series Jupiter’s Legacy. You’ll be able to turn into movies like the Back to the Future series, Mystic River, Notting Hill, Scarface, and so much more. See what else you can watch in May below.

Jupiter’s Legacy

Jupiter’s Legacy combines the excitement and action of a superhero series with a good dose of drama. The comic by Mark Millar (Wanted, Kick-Ass, Logan, Kingsman) is about a superhero family that does not function at all. Powerful superhero Utopian (Josh Duhamel) and his wife Grace (Leslie Bibb) have been so busy saving the world for decades that they have actually neglected their children.

The Upshaws

Also new on Netflix this month: The Upshaws. In this sitcom series we follow Bennie (Mike Epps). As a mechanic, he tries to take care of his wife Regina and their composite family. But, as befits a good sitcom, it is not all that easy. Especially when Bennie has to deal with his bitter sister-in-law (played by comedian Wanda Sykes).

Love, Death & Robots – Season 2

Love, Death & Robots is a so-called anthology series. In this case, that means that each episode tells a separate story. Some episodes have a humorous approach, others fit more into the action, thriller or horror genre. In the case of Love, Death & Robots, however, it also means that each episode shows a completely new animation style. The only thing in common: they are all about love, death and… robots!

Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous – Season 3

As the name suggests, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is set in the Jurassic World timeline. The series follows six teenagers who have been chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For this they travel to a new adventure camp on the other side of the island of Isla Nublar. However, as we now know, dinosaurs don’t care about any fences.

The Kominsky Method – Season 3

It’s almost time for the final season of one of our favorite Netflix comedies. In The Kominsky Method, we follow Sandy Kominsky (Michael Douglas), a former actor who is now taking it easy. He is still known enough to teach acting classes, and his wisdom is still very popular. Together with his representative / friend Norman (Alan Arkin) he struggles through life, while the decline slowly but surely sets in.

Lucifer – Season 5 Part 2

Finally it’s time for the second part of the fifth season of Lucifer! In this series, we follow hot devil Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis). He no longer feels like playing the dutiful servant in hell. He wants to better understand humanity and decides to spend some time on Earth. Fittingly, he settles in Los Angeles, the City of Angels.
